Acqualagna When the White Truffle Arrives
For a week at the end of October, then on selected days in November, Acqualagna holds the 61st International White Truffle Fair — the autumn concentration of a town that works with truffle through the year.

October
The river comes first.
October changes the inland Marche before any stall is set.
Acqualagna sits on the Candigliano, under the Furlo, in the Pesaro-Urbino interior. It is not a Tuscan ridge town and it is not a weekend invention. The white truffle fair belongs to a place that already lives by the tuber.
Then the 61st International White Truffle Fair opens: a week from 25 October, and the November days printed on the official invitation.
The town
A town that works with truffle.
The Comune’s own visual says it plainly: Acqualagna, capital of fresh truffle through the year. That is their claim, not a travel line. White truffle has its weeks. Other seasons have other tubers. The international fair is the autumn form of a longer relationship — wood, dog, market, table.
The 61st edition

The dates sent to OHH! ITALY on 19 September 2026 are these:

They are the days the town turns the season outward. A full programme was signalled, not attached. We do not invent one.
Admission to the fair is free.
The ground
Inside the comune.
You do not go to an enclosure and leave. You arrive in a small Marche comune and find the season already in the streets. Urbino is near enough to belong in the same country. The Furlo is geography, not a day-trip label. The fair sits inside that ground.
White truffle season has more than one Italian ground. San Miniato holds its own November. The two are not a circuit. They are different soils.
A private autumn
Beyond the fair.
OHH! ITALY is not the organiser. For travellers we already know, Acqualagna can sit inside a private autumn through Le Marche — the event as one concentration of the season, not the whole of it.
Around those days we can design what the official invitation does not: how to arrive, where to sleep, a table that understands the truffle, time that is not a circuit. None of this is included in the event. It is how a private journey uses the event as geography.
After summer
After the coast empties.
This is the Marche interior after summer has left the Adriatic.
Lower light. Cooking that follows the ground. A town that does not wait for November to know what a truffle is. October into mid-November is not the off-season of the white truffle here. It is the season.
