Destinations
Place Before Destination
Geography is not chosen from a catalogue. It is judged against the journey being designed — its rhythm, hospitality, movement, privacy and the time available.

How We Decide
Where the journey should happen
A destination earns its place when the landscape, access and hospitality of a geography can carry the intention of the trip — not because it appears on a familiar list.
OHH! ITALY designs privately for travellers who expect discretion, coherent movement and rooms that feel naturally theirs. Place is therefore evaluated as part of the design conversation: what should feel concentrated, what should unfold slowly, and what should remain unseen.
This is the House’s geographic layer — distinct from Private Journeys (what a trip could become), Unique Experiences (what may enter the itinerary), hotel and resort buyouts (when exclusive use shapes the stay), and Concierge (how the journey is supported on the ground).
Evaluation
What we weigh when place is on the table
Coast, lake, mountain, city fabric, island isolation — each changes pace and what feels possible in a day.
Hotel, villa, masseria or private-use property: where the party sleeps sets the journey’s tone.
Road rhythm, boat access, short flights, walking cities — movement is designed, not assumed.
Some geographies hold distance naturally; others require timing, access and the right address.
Heat, light, crowds and closure patterns shift what feels intelligent in the same region.
Couple, family, friends or executive group — the travelling party changes what a place can absorb.
One base with day chapters, or a sequence of places — contrast and rest must be composed deliberately.
Airports, helipad logic, marina proximity and late arrivals influence the first and last days.
Short concentration and longer immersion ask different geographies of the same country.
Principal Expertise
Italy, read as many journeys
Most of what OHH! ITALY publishes — journeys, experiences, journal chapters and hospitality logic — is grounded in Italian geographies we know from designing trips there: lagoon cities, motor country, wine hills, limestone coasts, mountain basins and island seas.
That depth is organised on a dedicated Italy page because the country is not one itinerary. It is a set of spatial and rhythmic decisions.
Beyond Italy
International orientation, private conversation
OHH! ITALY remains internationally oriented. Switzerland, France and other geographies can enter a journey when the design requires it — as in an Italy–Switzerland private arc — but this phase publishes Italy as the House’s home expertise. Other country pages are not implied; they are approached through the same private design conversation when truthful.
Some places are chosen.
Others are felt.
Tell us what you are drawn to — a landscape, a season, a certain way of moving. We will begin there.
